Καινούργιο challenge blog για paper arts

Η έκπληξη που σας έλεγα, είναι γεγονός.

Μαζί με μερικές από τις πιο ταλαντούχες Ελληνίδες scrappers και journalers, ξεκινήσαμε ένα καινούργιο challenge blog, όπου όλοι όσοι αγαπούν τα paper crafts , θα μπορούν να παίξουν μαζί μας!

Επίσης, κάθε μήνα θα ανεβάζουμε tutorials, που θα βοηθήσουν και τους καινούργιους της παρέας μας αλλά και τους πιο έμπειρους!

Ελάτε να παίξουμε!!!! Είτε κάνετε scrapbooking, είτε κάρτες, είτε art journaling, mixed media ή altered items, έχουμε ένα challenge για εσάς!!!

Handmade Christmas 2013 - Day 1

Τα Χριστούγεννα είναι προ των πυλών - είμαστε όλες χωμένες στη δημιουργία, για δωράκια, για εμάς ή ακόμα και για bazaar..... Εγώ έχω αποφασίσει φέτος , για τρίτη χρονιά, ότι όσα δωράκια κάνω, θα είναι χειροποίητα, από εμένα ή τις ταλαντούχες φίλες μου. Αυτό είναι και το νόημα του  "δίνω ",  στο πνεύμα των ημερών. Δωρίζω σε αυτόν που κάνω το δώρο την έμπνευση μου, το χρόνο μου και ένα αντικείμενο που φτιάχτηκε με αγάπη και γι αυτό έχει αξία.

Τέρμα, λοιπόν, οι πανικόβλητες βόλτες στα μαγαζιά για απρόσωπα δωράκια σε βολική τιμή. Μαζευόμαστε φίλες, μαζί με τα παιδιά μας, και περνάμε όμορφα, δημιουργώντας μοναδικά αντικείμενα και δωράκια.

Κι επειδή η ελληνική κοινότητα των χειροτεχνών όλο και πληθαίνει, και το scrapbooking, το art journaling και οι μικτές τεχνικές, έπαψαν να είναι άγνωστες λέξεις σε πολύ κόσμο, το δώρο μου σε όλες εσάς είναι μια σειρά Χριστουγεννιάτικα tutorial, που ευελπιστώ να σας εμπνεύσουν ή/και να σας λύσουν απορίες.

Το πρώτο είναι μια Χριστουγεννιάτικη κάρτα. Εύκολη αλλά εντυπωσιακή. Με Neocolors II και Big Shot.

Μπήκε και ο Δεκέμβρης! Τι γρήγορα που περνά ο καιρός! Τα Χριστούγεννα πλησιάζουν με γρήγορους ρυθμούς!

Ήρθε η ώρα και για την καινούργια μας πρόκληση στο scrapGreece. Το θέμα φυσικά Χριστουγεννιάτικο.

Σκεφτείτε ποια ήταν τα ομορφότερα Χριστούγεννα για σας, τι τα έκανε ξεχωριστά, ποιο είναι το στολίδι του δέντρου που σας αρέσει, ποιο πρόσωπο θα θέλατε να είναι κοντά σας αυτά τα Χριστούγεννα, οτιδήποτε έχει να κάνει με αυτή την υπέροχη γιορτή και εποχή του χρόνου και δημιουργήστε τη σύνθεσή σας.

Ένα από τα έθιμα των Χριστουγέννων που με κάνει πάντα χαρούμενη, είναι τη στιγμή που κοιτάω την αλληλογραφία μου και ξεχωρίζω κάποια Χριστουγεννιάτικη κάρτα ανάμεσα στους πεζούς λογαριασμούς. Εκτός από το ότι οι κάρτες της κάθε χρονιάς είναι πάντα μέρος της διακόσμησης του σπιτιού μου, εκτός από το ότι  μπαίνουν στο άλμπουμ χρονιάς και τις θυμόμαστε για πάντα, είναι εκείνη ζεστασιά που σε γεμίζει να ξέρεις ότι κάποιος σε αγαπάει, σε σκέφτεται και μπαίνει στον κόπο να σου το δείξει.

Γι αυτό και δεν σας έφτιαξα layout αυτό τον μήνα, αλλά ένα tutorial για Χριστουγεννιάτικη κάρτα.

Η καρτούλα μας είναι γρήγορη, αλλά με αρκετές τεχνικές, που μπορούν να χρησιμοποιηθούν παντού. Ελπίζω να σας αρέσει.

Χρησιμοποίησα

- Χαρτί ακουαρέλας 300 gsm
- Dylusion mists   σε χρώματα crushed grape, vibrant turquoise, pure sunshine
- Tattered Angels Iridescent gold
- Πινέλο /μαρκαδόρος νερού
- Σφραγίδα Christmas Blueprint
- Promarkers

Σήμερα είναι η τελευταία μέρα του "μαραθωνίου καρτών" που έκανε η φίλη μου η Ειρήνη  στο Get Creative. Ξέρετε ότι έχω σταματήσει να παίζω σε challenges, τον τελευταίο χρόνο, αλλά εδώ έπρεπε να κάνω την εξαίρεση μου. Τα κορίτσια είναι όλες πολύ ταλαντούχες, αλλά και καλές μου φίλες, οπότε στρώθηκα χθες να προλάβω να φτιάξω όσο περισσότερες κάρτες μπορούσα.

Ακολουθεί, λοιπόν, μαραθώνιος με 8 κάρτες στη σειρά, για αυτό όποιος έχει κουράγιο να το δει , ας καθίσει αναπαυτικά με ένα καφέ στο χέρι, και να μη με βρίζει πολύ ε?

Hello card makers! Today is the day for a new challenge at Incy Wincy Designs and my last one as a guest designer snif snif! So come and play along!

Good morning crafters.

It is time for an other challenge from Incy Wincy Designs.

Today our theme is

BEACH DAYS

and I am sure that most of you are in a beach right now playing with the waves. So, have a great time and when you retutn from your water adventures, make a card and come to play along us!

I was invited to be a guest designer at a very special challenge blog Incy Wincy Designs. I was intrigued by the fact that their cards are different from other challenge blogs. They are more simple, more human, more to my style. So I said "yes", and I will play every Monday for the month of August.

The challenge this Monday is a girly one.

and this is my take.

This month, the girls at Get Creative are having a marathon of challenges. Every few days they post a new one. There are layout challenges, as well as card challenges, digital challenges even a box challenge. Go and check it out- I am sure you will find a challenge for you!

I will play with two cards. For Natasha's challenge, a clean-n-simple card:

And for Marie's challenge a card with die-cuts:

I will alos play with 2sisters that ask for embossing, craft your days away and delightful sketches that ask for distessing, and so artful challenges with their color scheme.

Today I want to show you a mini that my DD made at Zeffy's children crop. She was a bit scared of the whole concept - of new aquaintances, if she could follow the tutorial without messing up etc. But she came up with something that she can be proud of.

I will seize the chance to thank Zeffy again for her patience and for her good orgnisation skills that made a crop with 4 kids a happy experience!

And a card for two twin little girls that turned 1. Since I used the sketch from SSS I will submit it there.

Ήταν να μην πιάσω τις κάρτες. Τα κορίτσια φταίνε που με ξεσήκωσαν και κάποιες φίλες που μου ζήτησαν να τους φτιάξω κάρτες, οπότε πάλι καρτούλες θα σας δείξω.

Δεν έχω ξανά ασχοληθεί ιδιαίτερα με κάρτες, οπότε έκανα μια βόλτα από το blog της Hero Arts, όπου βρήκα πολλές ιδέες. Έφτιαξα, λοιπόν, τις παρακάτω

Με την ευκαιρία θέλω να ευχαριστήσω πολύ τη Μελένια, που όχι μόνο διάλεξε την κάρτα μου ως νικήτρια στον διαγωνισμό του Get Creative, αλλά την ανάρτησε και στο blog της.

Many many thanks to Melenia, not only because she has given my card the first place at Get Creative Challenge, she presented it also in her blog.

Next time expect some christmas staff. We decided with my daughter to make this Cristmas a "Crafty Christmas". It means that we will make all the gifts and decorations by ourselves and we will try not to buy anything. We will do our best anyway! So keep in touch and wait for our projects!

Two cards and a LO for equal (on second thoughts not equal!!!!) challenges.

The first is for Passion for Promarkers. The stamp is from Stampendous (last year's but I used it this year as it was an after-christmas bargain). The snowman is colored with Promarkers - my favorite markers- . I will also play at Christmas stamping

The following is a scraplift (hmm ) of one of Vicky's cards which I liked very much - I hope her child is getting better!-. She is a constant inspiration and very creative. I will also play with 2 sisters, Rogue designs, Totally Gorjuss

And finally the LO - made for a friend- I will submit it in the Scrap for Help challenge. In this LO, I challenged myself to use neglected scraps and pieces from my stash. I never make boys LOs, so I almost lacked corresponing elements. I am very happy ,however, because I recycled several pieces. The backing paper is from a 7Gypsies packaging, the flower tops are taken from an old doll of my DD, and the doily was found in a cookies' box.

Υπομονή γιατί ακολουθεί ανάρτηση -μαμούθ. Θα σας δείξω τη συνέχεια των καρτών που φτιάχνουμε με την κόρη μου αυτές τις μέρες. Φέτος θα είμαστε πανέτοιμες για τα Χριστούγεννα!

Αποφάσισα να τα βάλω όλα μαζί, γιατί θα παίξουμε στις προκλήσεις της Ειρήνης από το Get Creative και της Βούλας από το Heart 2 craft -Κοριτσάκια μόλις τις είδα-πάντα ενημερωμένη :)

Λοιπόν, η πρώτη κάρτα αριστερά είναι για την πρόκληση της Ελίνας που θέλει πολλά layers. Όταν είδα την πρόκληση είχα φτιάξει ήδη την δεξιά, αλλά είχε μόνο 3 layers, οπότε έφτιαξα και άλλη μια.

Συνεχίζοντας, η αριστερή ξεκίνησε από την πρόκληση της Ειρήνης (ίσως δεν φαίνεται αλλά η σφραγίδα με τα αστεράκια, έχει ακριβώς το σχήμα που ζητούσε η Ειρήνη). Στην πορεία, όμως, ταιριάζει και με την πρόκληση της Ελένης ( mists) και της Μελένιας (colour combo), της οποίας ο συνδυασμός μου άρεσε τρελά. Οπότε θα παίξω στη Μελένια και στη Βούλα αφού είναι γεμάτη glitter, sparkle embossing, glossy accents και τουλάχιστον 6 glimmer mists, φυλακισμένα μέσα στην UTEE που μου έστειλε.

Η δεξιά είναι για την πρόκληση της Αλεξάνδρας που ήθελε ένα layer. Δεν μου πολυαρέσει αλλά ο άντρας μου ξετρελάθηκε, οπότε αποφάσισα να την βάλω (Περί ορέξεως.......)





Από αυτές τις κάρτες η δεξιά είναι της Ήριννας και σας την παρουσιάζω με πολύ περηφάνια γιατί έχει κάνει το πιο τέλειο paper piercing που έχει καταφέρει ποτέ. Είναι φτιαγμένη με τα καινούρια της χαρτιά της eco park που πήρε από την Λένα στη Χειροτέχνικα. Θα παίξει λοιπόν στην πρόκληση της Ευδοκίας που ζητούσε 2 elelments( designer paper και χιονάνθρωπος)Επίσης είναι γεμάτο glitter γι αυτό θα παίξει και στην πρόκληση της Βούλας.




Αυτές οι δύο, είναι φτιαγμένες από το tutorial της Βίκυς στη Χειροτέχνικα που εντυπωσίασε πολύ την Ήριννα. Αριστερά είναι η δική μου και δεξιά η δική της (μήπως φαίνεται ότι είναι αριστερόχειρας!- η κάρτα είναι διπλωμένη προς τα αριστερά)

Και αυτή είναι η πιο αμφιλεγόμενη απ' όσες έφτιαξα.Είναι μια χριστουγεννιάτικη shaker card, αλλά μου φαίνεται πολύ σκληρός ο συνδυασμός στα χρώματα τελικά. Τες πα είναι για την πρόκληση της Channa.

Ελένη και Ειρήνη δεν έπαιξα στις προκλήσεις σας, αλλά όλες μου οι κάρτες έχουν mists (άλλες λιγότερο ,άλλες περισσότερο) και χρησιμοποίησα και το sketch σε μια. Άρα δεν σας άφησα παραπονεμένες - άσε που δεν τέλειωσε ο μήνας ακόμα!

Μπορείτε να ανασάνετε πάλι αφού η ανάρτηση τελείωσε! Σας ευχόμαστε καλημέρα και να είστε πάντα καλά.

And some early Christmas inspiration. As December is always full of several Christmas projects, I decided to start early , in order to have a chance to send some cards this year!

HAPPY 2011 !

I start the new year with an old project. It is a birthday party for a little man that turns ONE year old!

His mother was kind enough to let me make the invitations to the party as well as the gifts for the children that attended.

I made named door signs and "Jaccob's ladders" for the gifts:

This guy is so young that does not have a name yet, so I made a big one that can accomodate his new name!

The ivitation cards :

I can't even remeber the products I used, but I want to mention sfragidomania for the chipboard names and Dustin Pike for the very cute dragon images (I think it is obvious that I am a great fan of the little dragon). The cards were inspired by this tutorial.

I enjoyed so much the procedure that I decided that I could do it for mothers and children that like the stuff that I make!

I just realised that I have post nothing, NOTHING since September.

I am not idle- far from that- but all my creations are gifts, that cannot be uploaded at the time I make them and I forget to upload them later!

So, checking my photo archives of October, here is a door sign I made for my daughter:

The other side of the star says "Enter" and is usually the case (thanks God she is still 7)!

This is a card was made for a classmate of my daughter's who is having a party. I used this super cute little dragon from Dustin Pike. He is one of my favorites!

I have many more to show you, but I am so tired from work, that I will postpone it for some other time!

It is a card I made for my mother-in-law that had her birthday last week (and we forgot) and has her name day next week (fortunately we have google to remind us).

I did not want to make a typical birthday card, so I chose a seasonal theme. What better than autumn, that is unsure whether to arrive or not? Last week we had some rain showers but this week is so hot that feels like August.

I used an old Sarah Kay stamp, Autumn Bliss backing paper from Little Yellow Bicycle, my Promarkers, stickles and Glossy accent(I don't know how I lived without it), Cat's Eye chalk inks and Tim Holtz's distressing tool for the distressing. I colored the flowers with Glimmer Mists and the sentiment is an old stamp with unknown origins.

Although it is almost invisible in the photo, the window behind Sarah is the highlight of the card as it looks like a real window (with the help of Glossy accent).

On Sunday we have to go to a christening ceremony. It is one of my hubby's colleage's little girl, so I tried to persuade my husband to give a diaper cake as a gift. it would be fun to make an other one. He flatly refused, saying that it was too bulky and that he prefered a little bag with a traditional present - clothes etc.

So I bought clothes- blah, blah- and I made a card -yiupi!

I used a Sugar Nellie stamp that I have bought last year but never used. The background stamp is Artemio's, the papers are all scraps. I used my promarkers for the coloring, distress inks and glimmer mists as well as Stickles for the details.

As it is late at night and I just found a super blog - Challengemania - that posts about many challenges every day, I will use it and play to the following challenges:
