Αυτά είχα να σας δείξω σήμερα και ελπίζω να τα ξαναπούμε μετά τις διακοπές!

Τον τελευταίο μήνα έφτιαξα αρκετά diaper cakes! Όλα ήταν παραγγελίες, και τα έφτιαξα με πολύ αγάπη και όρεξη, αλλά ένα ήταν πιο ιδιαίτερο για εμένα αφού ήταν για την ανιψιά μου που γεννήθηκε το Σάββατο. 

Σας δείχνω τα πιο αγαπημένα μου - αγορίστικα και τα δύο- και το τελευταίο της μπουμπούς μας, ένα ολόκληρο κάστρο! Δεν έχει πάνω δωράκια αφού της τα έδωσα σε χρήμα, αλλά δεν γινόταν να την αφήσω χωρίς diaper cake. Τόσα φτιάχνω για άλλα μωράκια, πώς να αφήσω το δικό μου χωρίς?

Δεν κάνω πολλές αναρτήσεις αλλά δεν σας ξεχνάω!

Έχω πέσει με τα μούτρα στη δουλειά βιβλία, κάρτες, workshops, diaper cakes και ξανά βιβλία, ευχολόγια κλπ κλπ. Δεν έχω χρόνο ούτε να δοκιμάσω τα καινούργια μου acrylic inks....

Που θα μου πάει θα τα βάλω σε μια σειρά. Αφήστε που ετοιμάζω και κάτι άλλο. Έκπληξη! Θα σας πω εν καιρό.

Για την ώρα να πως μοιάζει το γραφείο μου. Ράβω βιβλία με το τεζάκι. Αυτό θα έχει 400 σελίδες και προορίζεται για diary!

Να και ένα diaper cake. Και θα μου πείτε ότι δεν φαίνεται τίποτα - και θα έχετε δίκιο. Αλλά φυσικά ξέχασα να το φωτογραφίσω πριν το τυλίξω. Και ή θελα να σας το δείξω γιατί είχα πολύ περιορισμένο budjet από την κοπέλα που μου το ζήτησε, αλλά βγήκε πολύ ωραίο. Τέλος πάντων - το επόμενο υπόσχομαι να θυμηθώ να το φωτογραφίσω!

Today I want to show you a diaper cake. In fact it is not a cake at all! It is a diaper tricycle!

It was made for a commission, and it was supposed to be something very special for a very good friend of the lady who ordered it.

I had to make something from diapers but I wanted something different than a common cake. I had seen in Amalia's blog, a bear on a motorcycle but this seemed a bit boyish, while the newborn was a girl. So I turned it into a tricycle and I believe it is rather cute.

Congratulations on your newborn! I wish you happiness and fulfillment of all desires!

I absolutely LOVE diaper cakes!

They are cute, fun to make and a big surprise for the recipient. You see, I live in Greece, where diaper cakes are still considered an "artistic innovation".

This one is for twin girls - Να σας ζήσουν - so I had to multiply everything by two. As a consequence, I had limited space, so in order to recompensate its simplicity, I made the base a wall hanging for the babies' room. I had to keep the 3D elements at a minimal as the page should be flat to be a sturdy base.

As for blur on the tag, I used it to cover the name of the person that makes the gift.

A new member was added to our family- a little baby boy. "Ο καινούριος μου ξαδελφούλης" (my new cousin) as my daughter says.

And of course I seized the opportunity to make yet another diaper cake- who would believe that? LOL

This time I used scrapbook paper instead of ribbons, which I punched with the new Martha Stewart punches. I was worried that the paper seams would not hold (I cut stripes of 12x12 cardsrock) but Claudine Helmuth's mat medium did the trick as always. The animals on the tag are a freebie from Edward and it is coloured by distess inks and promarkers.

I have been far from idle this week.

I am thrilled to say that I received my first orders for a diaper cake. Believe it or not - and was hard for me to believe - I received two orders : one for a newborn and one for a christening.

Although I was very busy at work, I made both cakes ahead of time - it was really fun!

One for a boy and one for a girl. I believe that the boy's is rather simpler but girls are so much girly, pink and fluffy!

Yesterday my dear friend Dionysia, gave birth to her second son, after 9 very difficult months. Today the child is already out of the NICU! Congratulations guys! You fully deserve to be parents!!

It is time for me to upload the diaper cake I made for the baby.

As the baby was expected to arrive a bit prematurely, I had made the cake last week, but did not want to celebrate before the baby's birth.

The time has come

It is my first diaper cake, but I like the procedure, so I will make them more often! As soon as I find an other baby I mean! Ha, ha...
