Since I returned from Chalkidiki, I am in an "organizing-everything" mood. Everything looks dirty and suffocating, as I have collected a lot of bits and pieces, with no place to be stored other than boxes on the floor. Of course I am not including my new paints as they deserve a place of their own to be displayed and admired! During June I went berserk with purchases. I exhausted my wish lists and expanded them further. And bought everything - no exceptions. Well, too bad for my budget but I felt really good, so it was worth it.
So I moved some stuff in an other room - old purchases that I do not use any more (reminder : I have to purge them some time). And this left me with some space in my library that I could store all the various mediums, gessos, glues etc that I had on my working desk.
To celebrate the clean up and reorganisation, I made a 40x40 canvas with a prompt, to hang on my wall. And as I so love art journaling, I made it as an art journal page.
I used my new toy - the most amazing gel medium for transfers -even from an inkjet printer-, so everything you see in the bach is a digital collage that has everything. From bicycles to elephants and air balloons. Oh yaeh - I had a great time! And the acrylics are so better directly on canvas than on decoupage.
The branches are made with a crystal modeling paste and are really 3D. So pity you can't see the thousands of little crystals that capture the light and act like little prisms.
